About the film: BAOBAB FLOWERS is a documentary about education inequality in black communities as a global issue. The film weaves together the lives of teachers from two different countries: Nyanza Bandele in Philadelphia, USA and Priscila Dias in São Paulo, Brazil. This film explores the similarities between black women as mothers and educators, the impact of educational racism across the world, and the struggle for equality.
