Collaborator
Lucero Coronado Benitez is a Mexican visual artist, writer, and filmmaker currently based in Philadelphia. They hold a degree in Visual Arts with a specialization in Plastic Arts from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro and are currently pursuing an MFA in Film & Media Arts at Temple University.
Working across experimental video, soundscapes, and personal archives, Lucero’s practice explores intimacy, migration, memory, and the body as a living archive. Their work is deeply informed by social change, community engagement, and narratives surrounding otherness, womanhood, LGBTQ+ identities, and the relationship between affect and nature, particularly the ocean. She is currently developing a project centered on the body as a living archive, and the liminal migrant body and the stories that exist beyond official archives and institutional memory.
